She became an overnight sensation, and international bookmakers have picked her as the frontrunner to win the international Eurovision Song Contest.
“I’m so excited! I’m spending my time getting into shape and trying to get a good night’s sleep every single night. And other than that, I simply practice, practice, practice. I try not to listen to all the songs I will be competing against – I’m afraid it will make me nervous.” BEING BAREFOOT MAKES ME FEEL CONNECTED TO THE GROUND Although she did in fact win the national contest, she has never been a product designed to do so. Like her name suggests, she resembles a forest fairy – a natural child of the North, barefoot and with a sense of magic about her presence.
“I’ve never really liked singing while wearing high heels or any kind of shoes. Being barefoot makes me feel connected to the ground, and it makes me feel more relaxed,” she explains.
